Making changes to your Direct Debit in the Tembo app is easy!
To increase or decrease the amount of your Direct Debit, change the date the payment is taken, skip a month or cancel, just head to the Account tab. Then, under ‘Your monthly contribution’, just hit ‘Manage my contribution’.
First payment?
As long as you make the changes at least 6 working days before your first payment due date, the changes you have made will be effective for that date. If you make changes less than 6 working days before your payment is due, changes will not take effect until your following monthly payment date.
Already made a payment to your Tembo account via Direct Debit?
As long as you make the changes at least 5 working days before your first payment due date, the changes you have made will be effective for that date. If you make changes less than 5 working days before your payment is due, changes will not take effect until your following monthly payment date.
Too late to make changes in app?
We're so sorry - the same restrictions apply to us at Tembo as they do for customers in app - we can only make changes up to 5 working days before your payment due date (or 6 working days if it's your first payment).
If you need to make changes after the cut off (including on the date the payment is due to be debited from your account), please contact your bank directly as they should be able to help from their side.
